Just landed and immediately started blogging, I really miss this. The Hawaiian island of Maui is a destination for true nature lovers. It was as magical as we were told. We (my husband, my baby girl and I) went all over the island and some of our favorite places are Kihei, Lahaina, Paia, Wailea and from the beaches Maalea and Makena, of course the amazing road of Hana and black sand beaches, The road to Hana has over 600 switchbacks, 46 single-lane bridges, and countless waterfalls. It takes a good three hours or more to make the complete drive. Maui has world’s best sunrises and sunsets. Its name means “House of the Rising Sun”. We also visited the Maui Ocean Center, whcih is an aquarium and marine science center located in Maalaea, It includes exhibits on coral reef habitats, sea turtles, sharks, and humpback whales. Hula dancing- it is synonymous with Hawaii. It’s more than shaking hips. Hand movements are a key aspect of the dance as they’re used to represent words in the chant that accompanies the dance. You can’t leave Maui without drinkg a fresh coconut water and trying their fish tacos. The best tacos are at Coconuts Fish Cafe. With mahi mahi fish, mango salsa, coleslaw and white corn tortilla.
