The fashion weeks officially came to an end. The designers had plenty to say of fall winter 2016 fashion trends. See our latest fall 2016 runway report below.
Velvet: Plush velvet fabrics ruled the fall runways. As seen at Balmain, Alberta Ferreti, Dries Van Noten, Givenchy, Rochas, Roland Mouret, Stella Mccartney and Vetements. This rich fabric is often associated with royalty and luxury, and its comeback is marvelous.
Romantic Bohemian: Designers used ruffles, transparent effects and fluid silhouettes in feminine day and evening dresses. As seen at Erdem, Alexander McQueen, Preen, Zimmermann, Antoni Berardi and Diane Von Furstenberg.
Lurex: Designers embraced Lurex in a big way by channeling their magpie instincts into metallic knits. The glittery metallic fabric appeared in everything from skinny pants to pleated skirts. As seen at Balenciaga, Jil Sander, Costume National, Emilio Pucci, Missoni, Vionnet.
Ruffles: This season ruffles added romantic vibes to many collections with the cascading layers and delicate detailings. We saw ruffles at Chloe, Gucci, Balmain, Valentino, Chanel, Givenchy.
Supersized Sleeves: Oversized silhouettes have been our favorite street style trends, but designers took the trend to a next level by adding a whole new range of volumes. The puffed up Edwardian-style is going to be big this season. As seen at Christian Dior, Preen, Marni, Toga, J.W.Anderson and Marques’ Almeida.
