Karl Lagerfeld ‘Work in Progress’ photography shows in Cuba

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld is showing off his skills behind the camera lens in two retrospective photography exhibits.

Before Chanel descends upon Havana, Cuba for its Resort 2017 presentation on May 3, creative director and photographer Karl Lagerfeld is showcasing “Obra en Proceso/Work in Progress,” an exhibit featuring 200 of his photographs, at the Factoria Habana. Taking a very temporary break from fashion for the lens, the label’s creative director invites us to experience his personal vision of photography that is as subtle as it is brilliantly creative. On display from April 28 until May 12 2016 in Cuba.

“Obra en Proceso/Work in Progress” will not be the only exhibit celebrating Lagerfeld’s work this year. “Karl Lagerfeld_Visions of Fashion,” a retrospective of the designer’s photography curated by Eric Pfrunder and Gerhard Steidl, will debut on June 14 at the international menswear tradeshow Pitti Uomo in Florence’s Palazzo Pitti.
