As Donatella Versace noted, “This collection is different for me. I put a lot of attention on draping, and less on embroideries and super-sexy.”
Model Karen Elson opened the show in a dramatic blush pink cashmere coat backed with shimmery mint green satin, seductive intent off of one shoulder, revealing an asymmetrically cut wine-colored bustier that went so well with her lipstick color. Donatella incorporated a number of her favorite motifs — asymmetry, draping, fabric mixes. She worked with structured fabrics to deliver evening looks with pieces curving around the body to create intricate shapes and silhouettes. Models were wearing blue cat-eyes and burgundy lips by Pat McGrath and messy chignons by Guido Palau. Carolyn Murphy closed the show. See the full lineup below.
