Valentino Couture Fall 2016 Paris

With Valentino’s fall winter 2016 couture collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli pay homage to Shakespeare. They took an inspiration from Britain’s Elizabethan era with high neck ruffles, ornate cloaks, masculine jackets, billowing lace sleeves and slim trousers paired with tunics.

Fashion house Valentino has nominated Pierpaolo Piccioli as the sole creative director of the Maison, as Maria Grazia Chiuri leaves her role as co-creative director after serving 17 years with the brand and 8 years in her role as co-creative director to pursue a new professional experience at Dior.
