Claudia Li presented their spring/summer 2017 collection earlier today, at Artbeam Studios in New York. There are no inhibitions. No cares in the world. By shedding away reality and setting oneself free, the collection showcases newfound freedom and embraces femininity.
Metallic touches and splashes of colored orchid prints expressed the hazy liveliness. There were some boxy masculine silhouettes, as well soft and feminine silhouettes. Denim plays an important part of the Claudia Li’s collection. This season it is introduced in new ways through embroidery techniques, color and draping; shirts and dresses made from silk charmeuse and cotton poplin incorporate structured cutouts and organic draping that Claudia has become well-known for creating.
The most eye-catching pieces were the denim jacket with yarn orchid embroidery and the gold jacket with burnt acrylic orchids both paired with matching culottes.
