Gucci Spring/Summer 2017 MFW

Alessandro Michele unveiled Gucci’s pink-hued spring summer 2017 collection at the Milan fashion week. Alessandro told that he wanted to “talk the same language” as in previous seasons, while writing “another chapter of my story,” one of invented romance and wonder.

There were his trademark giant glasses more jewel-encrusted than before, the platform shoes more vertiginous and shimmering with gems. Androgynous looks included pant suits, trimmed cardigans and puffed sleeves. Gowns were enriched with embroideries and ruffles and there were sparkly gold and purple leggings aplenty.

That eclecticism might have been what Michele was referring to in his notes when he explained that he was seeking to “cultivate the unexpected.”
