Karl Lagerfeld once again took us back to Cuba, after staging Chanel cruise 2017 runway show in Cuba, Havana back in May 2016. He captured models Mica Arganaraz and Stella Tennant with the backdrop of Cuba’s vibrant tropical views for the brand’s cruise 2017 ad campaign.

“This is all about my vision of Cuba,” Lagerfeld told The Cut, and then he smiles and shrugs. “But of course, what do I know about Cuba? It is very childish, my idea.”

The photos featured pieces from the Cuban-inspired collection in pastel hues and retro vibes of Cuba, like the tweed matched with logo T-shirts, tropical print sweater, black berets, which were “a playful nod to Che  Guevara.” In addition to the photos, Chanel has also released a 30-second video featuring the song “River” by French-Cuban musical duo Ibeyi.
