Creative director Stuart Vevers staged his Coach 1941 Pre-fall 2017 collection on Pier 94 in New York – marking the brand’s 75th anniversary.
For the first time he blended women’s pre-fall and his men’s fall, “Uniting the collections got us thinking about togetherness and optimism,” Vevers said about the fact men and women stomped the catwalk together. “That inspired the clothes, the set, the casting. It’s diverse; it reflects real life.”
Inspired by dreamers, rebels and romantics, the collections capture the spirit of American optimism. Delicate florals, bows and patchwork are mixed up with safety pins, shearling and leather.
The front row was seated by Coach favorites like Rowan Blanchard, Riley Keough, Dree Hemingway, Drew Barrymore and Zoë Kravitz, who is a longtime Coach girl.
