Chanel Couture Spring 2017

For Chanel’s Spring 2017 Couture show Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into an oval At Deco salon a la 31 Rue Cambon, paying homage to the iconic mirrored staircase leading up to Coco Chanel’s salons. The whole collection was inspired by Coco herself and it started off with traditional tweed jackets complete with crushed tweed hats, metallic belts, and ladylike Mary Janes. Metallic gowns appeared, each trimmed with enormous puffs of marabou feathers. Major hues of white, silver and grey, illuminated each time with metallic, silver, sparkling and iridescent notes, moving from beige, pink, yellow, blue and pastel green through to black and navy. Chanel’s latest muse Lily Rose Depp closed the show in a lavish pastel pink belted gown. See the full collection below.
