Saint Laurent Spring 2018 PFW

Anthony Vaccarello staged Saint Laurent’s Spring Summer 2018 ready-to-wear dazzling collection, paying a moving tribute to Pierre Berge, who was the right hand and companion to Yves Saint Laurent. The show took place at Trocadero Fountain against the backdrop of sparkling Eiffel tower.

The collection was a mix of embellished pieces, dramatic silhouettes, fringed boots, leather paired with lace. It started off with cool-looking army green shorts with utilitarian strap and lacing details, worn with a peasant blouse or blazer. The lineup gradually changed into more dressed up with fringed statement boots paired with mini dresses and with a finale of marabou feathers, pouf and ruffle dresses. Model Kaia Gerber’s pouf dress in a black patent finish was one of the standouts of the evening. While Anja Rubik strutted in a reverse scalloped edge leather mini skirt and studded leather puff ball top, all in red.
